Exploring funtional molecular interactions

The project is concerned with the development and study of supramolecular host-guest systems, held together with non-covalent interactions. Organic synthesis, conformational analysis and interaction studies by NMR and UV-vis are part of the project.

The main goals are to improve access to molecular properties of the guest which are
difficult to obtain on the guest alone, to develop host molecules that can be modulated
by external stimuli and to develop hosts that can be used for quantitative detection of
selected organic guests.
